Even though it has Panyu in its name, this small museum is located in Yuexiu district. Right next to Peasant Movement Institute Station on line 1.

Panyu School Palace (番禺学宫)
Also called the Peasant movement institute, but I will not lie to you and praise this as the most important historical sight in around the area of Beijing road. Neither will I tell you that this historic site in Guangzhou needs to be skipped. It simply is a nice place with history that is worth strolling through if you are nearby. Being close to many other attractions makes it easy to implement into a one day history of Guangzhou tour though.
The place itself was built during the communist revolution as place for studying and meeting. You can see replicas of offices and there are explanations throughout the building.
If you are interested in the communist history of Guangzhou, the area might be very interesting to you, as nearby you can also find the martyrs park which comes with a museum and huge garden.
