Huanxi Guan (歡喜关)

Huanxi Guan translated means “Happy Place” and that does fit the restaurant. A small, cute place for you to get comfort food.

This vegetarian restaurant in Tianhe district of Guangzhou is quite small and hard to spot. Especially as their kitchen, which you will surely see first, is not in the same building as their dining room is.

The kitchen itself makes it seem like a take-away food stall. However you can take your plate into their well decorated dining room after ordering.

Huanxi Guan is not simply a Vegan restaurant, they do are a Buddhist restaurant and their have been Buddhist speeches on the TV in the background. The food is also not overly exciting as it usually is with Buddhist restaurants. It is simple, tasty and not expensive.
