Viola Cafe is right in the middle of Dongshankou district. You can reach it by metro to line 1 or 6 to Dongshankou Station and then walk there through the alleys.

Viola Coffee
Far away and yet not very far away from the main action in Dongshankou is Viola Coffee. We were stunningly surprised to find this peaceful Cafe in an area that is most of the time run over by influencers and maybe to be influencers. However we went on a Thursday afternoon, which is normally a “medium crowded” time for popular areas in Guangzhou.
The special about Viola Coffee is also, that is dedicated to classical music while not cater to the cliche of old wooden decor, worn down couches and old book smell. Which all is nice, but it is also very relaxing to sit in a back alley with palm trees, cacti and old buildings of Guangzhou. The clear yet well design interior design makes gives a contrast that is somehow very fitting due to the coloring of the furniture.
The Coffee itself is good and like most coffee shops you have several options to choose from. Including some cakes, which are usually pre-made.
In case you are strolling around Dongshankou on your Guangzhou travel, which is definetly recommend, you can sit down in Viola Cafe to have a relaxing break, think about your plans, cool down and then go on.
