Liede Bridge (猎德大桥)

Connecting Tianhe and Haizhu districts, the Liede Bridge spans the Pearl River like a giant white shell rising from the water, gleaming and radiant. From cycling and walking to boat cruises and trams, there are multiple choices to appreciate the vibrant scenery around this city’s landmark. Especially during sunset, the Liede Bridge is an outstanding spot for photographers to capture stunning photos.

One of the Best Viewing Decks in Town

Walking through the pavements of Liede Bridge allows visitors to appreciate the scenery of the Pearl River and the charming city view on both sides.  And, of course, you can see the same view driving through the bridge.

Stretching over 400 meters, the main bridge offers sweeping views of the river. To the south, the Pearl River’s banks are dotted with landmarks like Canton Tower, Party Pier, and the vibrant Pazhou area, while the north skyline dazzles with the towering skyscrapers of Zhujiang New Town and Liede. 

Standing on the bridge, wrapped in the river’s gentle breeze, watching the sun sink westward as the sky melts from fiery gold into deepening blue—what could be more healing?

If walking across the bridge feels too exhausting, you can still enjoy its beauty from afar by strolling along the Pearl River banks. 

On the north side, you’ll get a perfect shot of the Liede Bridge with the Canton Tower or Pazhou in the background.On the south side, the bridge shines against a dazzling backdrop of Zhujiang New Town’s glittering skyline at night. Both spots offer fantastic photo opportunities, no matter day or night!

Transportation

On Foot: To get to the pavement of the bridge properly, you may refer to the map, walk to the river side where the bridge has two stairs connected to the ground, go upstairs, you may find the pavement right in front of you. p.s. there four stairs connected to the ground, they are on both sides of the river and the bridge.

Metro: Take Guangzhou Metro Line 5 and get off at Liede Station.  Walk about 10 minutes to reach Liede Bridge.

Tram: Take the tram to the Liede Bridge South station, the bridge is right behind you!

Bus: Take bus 44, 138, or 811 and get off at Liede Bridge South Station. Walk a short distance to the bridge.

Taxi: Hail a taxi and provide the driver with the destination Liede Bridge. Ensure the driver understands the location before starting the trip.

Bike: Use a shared bicycle and navigate to Liede Bridge via bike-friendly routes. Park the bicycle in designated areas near the bridge.
