Nansha Bay
The area’s historical significance dates back to the Opium War era, with fort sites along its coast. However, in contemporary times, Nansha Bay, nestled close to the Humen Waterway, has transformed into a hub of development, propelled by investments from the Fok Ying Tung Group and local authorities.
The centerpiece of this transformation is the Nansha Marina. Established in 2011, it stands as one of South China’s largest and most fully equipped marinas. With its prime location at the mouth of the Pearl River and within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Nansha Marina sets a global standard for excellence, earning the prestigious 5 Gold Anchors rating from the UK’s The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) in 2011, a distinction it still holds today. Its integration of Chinese and Western cultures is evident in its luxurious clubhouse, which offers a range of amenities including dining, event hosting, and VIP services. Additionally, the marina features a one-stop yacht maintenance center and offers training programs for sailing enthusiasts.
Over the past two decades, Nansha has undergone significant development milestones, evolving from a fishing village to a key economic and transportation hub. From the establishment of the Humen Bridge to the opening of the Nansha Passenger Port and the Nansha Bridge, each milestone helped Nansha’s growth to move forward.
