Nansha District, Guangzhou China

Nansha District and Nansha New Area are integral parts of Guangzhou, China, representing both urban development and state-level new areas. Initially established as the Nansha Technology Development Zone in 1993 and later designated as Nansha District in 2005, it gained further prominence in September 2012 when it was recognized as a State-level New Area, becoming the sixth such area in China. Situated at the southernmost tip of Guangzhou, Nansha shares borders with Dongguan, Zhongshan, Shunde, and Panyu, while facing the Pearl River Delta to the south. Spanning approximately 803 square kilometers, Nansha is strategically connected to the rest of Guangzhou via two metro lines operated by Guangzhou Metro.
