Renxin Old Shop (仁信老铺)
Renxin Old Shop is a small local chain offering Cantonese desserts and snacks. You can find pudding topped with red bean paste, double skimmed milk with Ginger, mango on ice cream and many other treats. Most of them are available cold or warm, making it a perfect stop during a walk through Beijing road or Liwan.
Walking through Guangzhou on a hot day, which is most time of the years, will cause heavy cravings for a sweets and cold snack. Street food wise you will find bubble tea every 100 meters, but why not go with a more traditional Cantonese dessert. Some of them might be slightly weird (Ginger, Red Beans, Green Beans, Lotus Seeds) But most are quite normal.
My own recommendations: Ginger Milk Pudding and anything topped with Lotus seeds. They are surprisingly tasty.
Also, Mango in Guangzhou tastes 1000% better than Mango in Europe, so that might be something to go for as well.
