Zhongshanba station and Changshou Road are the closest stations, but still require a 10-15 minutes walk through the beautiful Yongqing fang or Pantang area.

Liwan Lake Park (荔湾湖公园)
Liwan Park is a great and relaxing park to include in your travel to Guangzhou, especially as it is just in between two other areas worth a visit. In the south you will find the Yongqingfang area and in the north east Pantang.
The whole area down from Shamian up to the Liwan Park are most likely the most walkable area in Guangzhou. Culture, Nature, Local Shops and lots of good food.
Liwan Park itself is a great Park, with many places where you can sit down and enjoy a picnic or some snacks by the lake. There is also a restaurant just next to the lake and a small museum on the other side. But the best about Liwan Park is of course it being a wide and green space. Relaxation for the eyes!
Liwan Lake Park, in Guangzhou’s Liwan District, spans 27 hectares, with over half its area made up of interconnected lakes like Xiaocui, Yucui, Ruyi, and Wuxiu. This urban park is a peaceful retreat featuring a blend of water and greenery.
The park is full of Lingnan-style architecture, including pavilions, bridges, galleries, and resting areas, all nestled among the natural surroundings. A key highlight is Haishan Xian Guan, known for its Historical Data Exhibition Hall of Thirteen-Hang Monopoly. During the Qing Dynasty, the site gained recognition as the “First Garden in Lingnan” after renovations by businessman Pan Shicheng.
Liwan Lake Park offers pathways for walks, spaces for recreational activities, and a calm setting away from city life. Entry is free, and the park is open year-round.
This park is a must-visit destination for those exploring Guangzhou, providing an opportunity to enjoy its cultural and natural charm.
