Tianhe Sports Center is located, as the name says, Tianhe and can be reached via Line 1 to its own Station.

Tianhe Sports Center
Tianhe Sports Center is a complex hosting multiple sport venues with the Tianhe Stadium as its center piece. Located in the heart of Guangzhou New Town, next to Tiyu Xilu, Tianhe Sports Center is a place to workout and to meet new people.
Running
The stadium is surrounded by a running track of around 800 meter lengts. Every evening many runners and running teams meet up at the Stadium to do their workout. If you are serious about running, this setting will give you motivation. Also you can join one of the running groups and shop in one of the running stores on the outside of the Guangzhou Tianhe Stadium.
Swimming
Apart from the running track. You will also find a swimming pool with 50 meter lanes within the Tianhe Sports Center. However the opening times are unclear, as it sometimes was closed, when I wanted to use it.
Bowling
Not everyone is serious about training and sports. Some just want to have fun. And while you still can be serious about Bowling, the Bowling Hall in Guangzhou is more a place to have fun with friends on a evening after work. As a European I can not compare it to other Bowling places, but we been there 3 times and had fun each time.
Table Tennis
It is not a chinese recreational space if there would not be several table tennis tables. And as this is the Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center, there are more than just 2 or 3 tables. The whole west entrance alley is covered with table tennis tables.
Tennis
At the east entrance you can find several tennis pitches and tennis equipment stores in front of them. We will try tennis out soon and can then tell more.
Soccer
The north East part of the Tianhe Sports Center ha several small football (soccer for the US) cages or pitches. Small pitches with concrete ground, perfect for street soccer.
Basketball
Right next to the soccer fields are basketball courts. Several courts next to each other. At night these are crowded with many people playing as well as many friends and visitors as spectators.
