Haizhu Tram

The Haizhu Island Circular New Tram, also known as Line THZ1 or YoungTram, is a tram system serving Guangzhou’s Haizhu District, running between Canton Tower and Wanshengwei. Operating at ground level, it opened on December 31, 2014, with an extension to Party Pier station added on October 21, 2015. Stretching 7.7 km with ten stations, it follows the Pearl River’s coast and will eventually form a circle around Haizhu District. The tram’s design subtly resembles the Chinese character “广”, found in the names of Guangzhou and Guangdong province.
