Shi Fang Yuan (食方缘 食养中心)
This restaurant was was surprisingly relaxed for it being in an area that is somewhat “well known”. This should be due to the facts that the restaurant is located on a side-road with less other businesses than surrounding roads as well as the fact that it is vegetarian food
We tested it twice and it is definitely one of the better vegetarian restaurants in Guangzhou. The atmosphere being the biggest plus. It has more a Guesthouse vibe than a restaurant feeling. The food itself tastes good and there are a few creative options on the menue. However we ate in vegetarian restaurants in Guangzhou, that had a better menu.
Shi Fang Yuan (食方缘 食养中心) is not just a restaurant but also a space that integrates traditional Chinese dietary therapy with a plant-based menu. The restaurant emphasizes a holistic approach to health, with dishes inspired by ancient Chinese medicinal food principles. Many ingredients are carefully selected for their supposed healing properties, aligning with the philosophy of food as medicine.
Additionally, the setting of Shi Fang Yuan enhances its appeal. Decorated with wooden furniture, calming lighting, and touches of Zen-inspired aesthetics, the environment creates a very calm dining experience. They also hosts wellness workshops and tea ceremonies.
