Zen Tea Vegan Restaurant
Entering Bing Shui Zen Tea vegan restaurant at night gives you the chills. The restaurant is inside a old stone house building near the entrance of Xiaogang Park. Which means you will have to go inside the park for a few meters and then enter the old stone house hidden behind trees and greenery.
Inside the building you will first find a tea-house and will be greeted by a waiter. If you are there for food and not for tea, you will be guided to a private room where you then can dine. The ambient is very calm and luxurious. The kind of atmosphere that lets you automatically talk in whisper voice to not disturb the harmony.
Being included in the Michelin guide, the food itself is very fresh and tasty. Every meal we had was tasty and you could taste the well-chosen ingredients. However, we had more creative or special dishes in other vegan restaurants. Especially as Zen Tea restaurant is quite pricey with 60-100+ RMB per dish we missed that “wow that looks interesting” moment.
