At 1200 book& bed you get pretty much exactly that. Books and Beds! This great shop in Guangzhou is a mixture of book shop, hostel and meeting place. 10 year younger me would absolutely have loved it! and 100% stayed there on a visit to Guangzhou.
The whole area. Not only the close area Pantang village in Liwan but basically the whole district Liwan is an art and culture lovers wet dream. From local craftsman’s, second hand shops to boutique stores and great food. Hipster paradise in Guangzhou.
1200 book&bed has other branches in Guangzhou, one in Tianhe and one in Yuexiu district. However we find that the one in Liwan, just next to the Liwan lake park is the one that fits most to the environment and the general vibe around it.
