This stadium is not easy to reach by metro as it is located right in between four stations. The nearest probably being Fenghuang Xincun. This place is suitable for anyone living closeby or anyone willing to take a cap just for getting to a run course. Or you just run there to “warm up”

Baogang Stadium
There is not much to say about this place as it is refreshingly “normal”. This small sport stadium in Guangzhou Haizhu district is located in the middle of an old neighbourhood and comes with a football pitch, where you can see local teams train throughout the day. Around the pitch a running track which is in decent condition and next to the both a swimming pool with 50 meter in size. Perfect for a block workout for anyone interested in Triathlon in China.
The stadium is close to public throughout the day and you can use the running track from very early in the morning up to 9 and sometimes 10am. Which, having the weather of Guangzhou in mind, is the latest suitable time for a track workout anyway.
The pool is decent and they do not use to much chemicals to clean it.
The stadium can get crowded towards the end of the “free access time”, but not to crowded to run. The swimming pool can be crowded during peak times, which is any time except Chinese breakfast lunch and dinner time.
