Baiyun Mountain Forest Park
The more natural part of the Baiyun Mountain range, the wild north. Including many hiking routes and even lakes for outdoor swimming.
Hiking
We did not try all trails and we can not just list thousand of routes here, so we recommend to use Alltrails, Komoot or, the Chinese hiking App “两步路户外助手” If you know the signs for Guangzhou “广州” and Baiyun District “白云区” , you can find many routes in the Chinese App.
The main spot often is Liupian Mountain from where you can start small loops of just 2-3 KM or larger loops up to 10 KM. You can also hike the whole range down south to Yongtai Station. See the route here
Lakes
Apart from the often mentioned Liu Pain Mountain Lake, there are several other lakes in this range but not all of them are open for swimming right now due to construction going on. Shuiliudong for example. But even if you can not swim, it is still worth a visit.
