Guanghai Swimming Pool
In my personal experience Guanghai swimming pool is one of the best public swimming pools in Guangzhou as it comes with several very important benefits.
They do not uses a truck load of chemicals for cleaning the water, unlike some Gym pools. So you will not leave the water looking like you stayed up for one week.
It is never to crowded. Talking about Gym pools, there is one famous and cheap one just on the other side of the road. This causes that all parents with children use the Gym pool, making it a human soup. Guanghai pool is usually less crowded and has around 2-4 persons per double lane.
The only downside of this swimming pool in haizhu district of guangzhou are the opening times. As you see in the picture below, the pool is open for 2-3 hours and then closed dor 1-2 hours. This shema is repeating throughout the day.
Also, in winter the pool is 1. very cold and 2. open just up to 18:20, making it impossible to swim after work.
Swimming in Guangzhou is one of the best activities to cool down, and even a lot of apartmen complexes or gyms have pools, these are usually crowded or small and warm. Making them not suitable for swimming lanes. Guanghai Swimming Pool is a top option to swim a few lanes and stay fit in the summer heat.
